Report a Bloom or Illness

Harmful algal blooms (HABs) and their cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins can cause mild or serious health effects in humans and animals. Avoiding contact with HABs is the best way to prevent illness. If you see a bloom or experience health impacts, you can report it and the Big Valley Rancheria, Lake County health authorities, or state agencies will follow up in many cases. Contact veterinarian or medical professional if pet or family member exhibiting symptoms after water contact.
